Films

Below is a list of films that I've either watched a billion times, or I'm working towards it. These are films that I want to watch again and again. Click on the to find out why.

    1. I'm only including the first two films in this franchise. The 2016 film was moderately awful, and the 2020's follow-on from the first two were amazing, but I'm not sure they're excessively rewatchable. I'm happy to be proven wrong.

  • > James Bond

    1. If I have to sit here and justify why I love the Bond movies so much, then you clearly have never seen one. Admittedly the early ones were a little wooden and formulaic, but they're part of the whole and utterly amazing.

As you're asking, my favourite Bond is Timothy Dalton, my favourite film is On Her Majesty's Secret Service.

  • > The Matrix
    1999 (partial)

    1. I'm only including the first film in this franchise. Whilst I have seen the second thru fourth films in the Matrix franchise, I keep coming back to the first one just because of how groundbreaking the storyline and production was.

  • > Men In Black
    1997 (partial)

    1. I'm only including the first film in this franchise. The second film was ok. The third film was an abomination (time travel, ugh). The fourth film was good, I guess, but it wasn't really MIB.

  • > The Omen
    1976-1981 (partial)

    1. The first three films in the franchise are simply awesome. I admit to not seeing Omen IV: The Awakening (1991) yet, nor the follow-up The First Omen (2024). The 2006 remake of the The Omen (1976) was good, but it was just a remake with different actors - nothing special. The 2016 was intended as a sequel to the The Omen (1976) but had a lot of brilliant references and Easter eggs to the original.

  • > Star Trek
    1979-2002 (partial)

    1. I love the TOS- and TNG-era films. There's no question of this. The Kelvin timeline reboots though, I just couldn't equate them to the Star Trek universe. Sorry about that.

  • > Superman
    1978-1987

    1. I mean, the first three films are great... the fourth one, yeah it's ok.
